Yaletown Lions Club Presentation to Yaletown House: Richard Collins (Yaletown Lions President), Kim Roberts (Yaletown Lions Membership Director), Evelyn McNulty (Yaletown Lions Committee Chair), Ardis Julian (Yaletown House Foundation President), Jan Volker ( Yaletown House Foundation Board member), Barbara Shishido (Family Member), Carol Crichton (Executive Director, Yaletown House)



Arlene Kravitz, Director of Communications, Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, receives a $21,693.51 Taste of Yaletown cheque from John LeMare, Client Manager, American Express and Neil Wyles, President, Yaletown Business Improvement Association.



Bill Stewart, President and CEO of YMCA of Greater Vancouver, receives a cheque for $150,000 for the Y's capital campaign at the grand opening of CIBC's newest seven-day full-service branch in Yaletown - the first for downtown Vancouver. Presenting is Wendy Slavin, CIBC's senior vice-president for Western Canada.

Giving is always in style in Yaletown. And the YBIA wants to recognize that "stylish" fact here on the Yaletown Cares page.


FUNDS RAISED DURING THE 2009 TASTE OF YALETOWN!

The fifth annual Taste of Yaletown in October raised $6010.13 which will go to local food banks. The participating restaurants donated part of their sales of prix fixe meals to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

YALETOWN LIONS CLUB 1st ANNUAL BLACK AND WHITE GALA EVENT RAISES $40,000!

Yaletown Lions Club 1st annual Black and White Gala Evening was held on June 14, 2008. A total of $40,000 was raised during the event. Yaletown House received $36,000 towards their "Quality of Life Starts at Home" campaign. This will help create a safer, more comfortable and better equipped home for seniors today and in the future. SightFirst II, Lions International Campaign received $4,000. This will help save approximately 429 individuals from blindness.
