We are pleased to report that Council approved with a vote of 6-5 the recommendations of the Tax Commission.  The recommendations include a 1% tax shift away from business and onto residential tax payers.  This is a direct result of the work that our partnership of BIA's have done for the last two years.

We are pleased, we are tired and we are very aware that this 6-5 vote splits down party lines.  The outcome of the next civic election will be critical to our long term objectives.
