Dear Yaletown BIA Member,
Welcome to the very first e-newsletter edition of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association News. We've switched to the new email format so we can communicate with all our members quickly and keep each and everyone of you up to date with all the changes and opportunities in Yaletown.
 
NEW Parking in Yaletownparking_in_yaletown
There is now MORE parking in Yaletown! 153 new parking spots managed by Easy Park at Hamilton & Nelson have recently opened. Plus, there will be NO increases in meter rates in the area. Yaletown has some of the cheapest meter rates in the city ($2.50/hr) and our meter rates are NOT increasing while meters rates in the Downtown Core and select areas of the West End are going up. We have over 700 parkade spots plus 300 street spots in Yaletown. A detailed parking map is available at www.yaletowninfo.com to share with your customers and clients. Special Members-Only Update Meeting Tuesday March 20th, 8am at Yaletown Brew Pub
Join us for a cup of coffee and discussion on all the changes that are happening in Yaletown this year. Board member Brian Carroll will provide you with a members-only update on marketing, construction, new business neighbours and property taxes in Yaletown. Also featured will be a special presentation regarding land-use plans for our downtown core, presented by the Metro-Core Planning group. Spring 2007 Marketing Opportunities
We are currently developing a new 2007 series of printed Shopping & Dining Guides plus a new Yaletown fold out map, for all merchants and restaurants to participate in. Each guide will include a listing of Yaletown events and parties as well as display advertising from YBIA members. Distribution will be through an extensive mail drop and direct contact.
