Yaletown is going Bin Free! The Yaletown BIA has been working for five years to find a better way to collect and remove our garbage. So now, in partnership with the City of Vancouver and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, the large metal street bins will soon be replaced with an easy bag collection system.
Heineken Yaletown Street Party Wrap Up The 2007 Heineken Yaletown Street Party attracted over 40,000 visitors despite the rain that day. The event garnered more media coverage than ever before including pre-event and post-event coverage as well as day-of coverage. We unveiled two great new components this year - The Batlle of the Bartenders and the Celebrity Chef Chili Cook Off. A big thank you to all our sponsors including Heineken, Blenz, Canada Line, Artworks Gallery, the Beat 94.5FM, Coast Capital Savings, CTV, The Georgia Straight and Novus, with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank as the event's chosen charity.
