 New Holiday Shopping Trolley ready to bring more shoppers and visitors to Yaletown
Starting Friday November 28th, the CANADA LINE HOLIDAY SHOPPING TROLLEY will pick shoppers and visitors up and drop them off - FREE - at convenient locations along the Canada Line in Vancouver. With the delivery of the postcards to community centres, libraries, hotels, retailers, tourism and through the BIA's, plus all the website and media coverage, we expect good use of the service.
November 28th to December 21st
Fridays from 3pm - 7pm
Saturdays & Sundays from 12pm - 5pm
The Trolley route starts northbound at Cambie and 42nd, loops through the downtown core, then heads south again. It picks up and drops off every 25 minutes at:
- 42nd & Cambie 
- 16th & Cambie
- Drake & Homer
- Library Square
- Waterfront Station
- Burrard SkyTrain
- Vancouver Art Gallery

The 15th annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival will be taking place on December 21, 2008, and for the first time ever, will include the heritage district of Yaletown. The procession will leave Emery Barnes Park at 6pm, and wind its way along Helmcken, Hamilton and Drake en route to David Lam Park. YBIA members have a unique opportunity to sponsor this event, and draw attention to your business by 'renting' a special star lantern (supplied) and displaying it in your window. Collateral materials are also available. This event draws thousands of people to enjoy the evening and see the neighbourhood in a different "light".
