BEST EVER HALLOWEEN IN YALETOWN! This year was the biggest and best Yaletown Halloween celebration yet! The streets were packed with trick-or-treaters and their parents who were all part of the parade and trick-or-treat route. Thank you to everyone who helped 2009 Yaletown Trick or Treat and Halloween Parade to be such a success! Special thanks to our presenting sponsor CIBC for the great booth and contest prizes, our wonderful volunteers, Urban Fare for taking such good care of our volunteers, the traffic management police, drivers and residents of Yaletown, merchants and businesses of Yaletown, DubD Productions - the parade leaders, and everyone who came down to our neighbourhood to be a part of the parade and fun. CIBC PRESENTS THE 11th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT IN YALETOWN For all the kids in the neighbourhood...and their parents, of course...Yaletown businesses will once again open their doors for trick or treating in Yaletown, So dress up in your creepiest – or sweetest – costume on Saturday October 31st, 3:30 - 5:30 pm. And don't miss the Halloween Parade at 4:00 starting from the Roundhouse and making its way all through Yaletown. Trick-or-treaters can also stop by the CIBC tent at 1100 Block Mainland and enter a draw to win fabulous prizes such as a $500 RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan) or a Nintendo Wii! Presented by Yaletown Photography Presents HALLOWEEN CHARITY PHOTO BOOTH Dress up the kids and bring them to have their portrait taken in our pumpkin patch photo booth! Canned goods or a cash donation are collected in exchange for a 4x6 portrait of your Trick or Treater. All proceeds will support the Great Vancouver Food Bank (limit one 4x6 per family). Come join the fun and show off your kid’s costumes! Hosted at Fine Finds 1014 Mainland Street 3:30 -5:30 pm Saturday October 31, 2009 FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AT ELFSAR COMICS (Saturday October 31st, 2009 11am-6pm) This Halloween while you are planning your Yaletown trick-or-treat schedule, leave some time to come by Elfsar Comics at 1007 Hamilton Street between 11am and 6pm. You will be rewarded with 5 free comics just for showing up! Bring money or non-perishable food items as a food bank donation, and you will receive another 5 free comics! Candy is great- but free comics and candy, could it get any better?.. yep- it actually does this Halloween! Take pictures with awesome costumed Heroes and Villains, meet comic creators, get sketches done for free, listen to a reading by guest authors, and have your books and collectibles autographed.
