The YBIA is an important and vocal member of the Fair Tax Coalition, which represents our members’ property tax concerns to City and Provincial leaders. In 2006, $390,509 was saved in commercial property taxes [$0.57 per sq. ft. saved for retailers and $0.23 for offices in Yaletown] for YBIA members as a result of participation in the Fair Tax Coalition.

INFORMATION SESSION: Metro Core Jobs and Economy Land Use Plan
Proposed Policy and Zoning Changes in Downtown Vancouver
The City of Vancouver is undertaking the Metro Core Jobs and Economy Land Use Plan to ensure there is enough development and transportation capacity to accommodate future job growth ad economic activity in the metropolitan core. As part of the process, proposed policies and zoning changes have been developed for key areas in the downtown including the Yaletown heritage district.
The City os holding two information sessions to present these changes and to hear your ideas. City staff will be on habd to answer questions and collect your comments.
